Introduction

Since its founding in 1976, ACTEA has become widely accepted for its services to theological education on the continent. ACTEA offers institutional support and networking services, links to other resources for evangelical theological education in Africa, and contacts with the global evangelical theological education community globally. These services help in building capacity for theological institutions and their programmes towards achievement of quality and excellence.

ACTEA seeks to achieve this by:

  • Serving as a medium for continental identity, contact and collaboration among these theological institutions and their programmes.
  • Providing various support services for them, which currently include capacity-building conferences and seminars, ACTEA E-Forums, ACTEA Newsletter, and Librarians E-Services.
  • Fostering international contacts and resources for ACTEA schools through ACTEA’s links with ICETE and its services, including its International Consultations for Theological Educators.
  • Encouraging ACTEA-linked schools to take advantage of other useful resources in support of theological education in Africa.

Here below are some of the support and networking services provided or recommended by ACTEA as a means of facilitating theological institutions in their pursuit of quality and excellence:
