ABOUT US
Welcome to the ACTEA Website
Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) exists primarily for two main reasons: to offer academic accreditation of theological programs through a rigorous process of quality assurance and accountability, and to offer institutional networking and support services.

It is my joy to welcome you to this official website of the Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) formerly known as
Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa. ACTEA was founded in 1976 as a project of the Association of Evangelicals in Africa (AEA).
In this website you will find a host of information on ACTEA with regard to its history; accreditation services such as standards and procedures; support services such as links to important resources, capacity-building conferences, and seminars; its partners and stakeholders; as well as news and other important materials that would help you, our dear reader, to engage and partner with ACTEA in its quest to strengthen, renew, and support theological institutions in Africa.

Accreditation Services
The Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa (ACTEA) offers academic accreditation services at the post-graduate, the post-secondary, and the secondary levels, in order to provide a sound basis for international academic recognition for such programmes. Accreditation services are also available for the doctoral level. About one-sixth of all ACTEA schools are involved with ACTEA’s accreditation services.
