Ruth Guinness serves as SIM’s Ministry Point Person for Theological Education. She taught for many years at the Evangelical Bible College of Malawi. Amongst other roles she was Academic Dean and Accreditation Officer. She is passionate about the need for effective theological education to strengthen the church for its mission. Her background includes formal teacher training and teaching in the UK. She has a BA (Hons) and MA from All Nations Christian College. She has been based in Malawi since 2000 and is currently an Educational Advisor there. In nonformal theological education she is co-writing Theological Education by Extension resources and enjoys coming alongside pastors and lay leaders in their ongoing learning.

Ruth is an ICETE consultant and has served on ACTEA Visitation Teams and the ACTEA Working Group which revised ACTEA Standards for Accreditation in 2022.
