Accreditation

Overview of Accrediting

ACTEA accreditation stands as a hallmark of excellence, integrity, and relevance in theological education across Africa. Grounded in globally recognized standards and a commitment to the evangelical faith, our accreditation process empowers institutions to uphold the highest academic and theological standards. Through a rigorous assessment that includes internal institutional self-evaluation and external peer review, ACTEA accreditation offers three distinct accreditation levels:

  1. Provisional Recognition:
  2. Full Accreditation:
  3. Associate Membership:

The accreditation process serves two fundamental purposes. Firstly, it empowers educational institutions to assess themselves against recognized quality standards, facilitating structured improvement initiatives. Secondly, accreditation allows institutions to showcase their accomplishments in line with global quality benchmarks, enhancing their credibility locally and internationally. Balancing internal quality enhancement and external recognition forms the crux of accreditation.
